ways of generating electricity
Coal is a big part in world wide electricity generation. About 41 % of global electricity is powered from coal fired power plants. First, coal is turned into a powder so that it is able to be burned quicker. Then from there the powder is transfered to a combustion chamber where it is burnt at extremely high tempurature. The hot gases that come from the chamber ends up produing steam. The steam then gets put through a turbine which rotates the steam into a form of energy. Although coal is the cheapest and easiest to burn, it is also the worst for the atmosphere. It adds a lot of polluants into the air. Natural gas is amore difficult, but its a lot easier for the atmosphere. Gas turbines are one of the most common ways to generate electricity through natural gas. Hot gases from fossil fuels get turned in the turbine and after a while, begin to generate electricity. Another common way of generating electricity is through wind. The blades in the turbine capture the winds energy. From there the energy is transfered and is able to power many different things. Since generating electricity has the downsides of polluting the earth, building a house without electricity could help this issue. Although one house won't make a huge impact, if a bunch people helped out and also did this, there could be a minor impact in the number of pollutants going into the atmosphere.
